Gynaecology Care

Most gynaecological problems have a clear cause once someone takes the time to look properly. Dr. Rekha evaluates the reason behind your symptoms and builds a treatment plan around your body and your stage of life, whether you are a teenager, planning a family, or approaching menopause.

Cycles that come too often, too rarely or unpredictably, usually traced back to hormonal imbalance, PCOS or thyroid issues.

Periods heavy enough to disrupt daily life, often linked to fibroids or other uterine conditions, investigated and treated at the source.

Painful periods (dysmenorrhea)

Severe period pain that may point to endometriosis or infection, rather than something you simply have to live with.

Absent periods (amenorrhea)

Missing periods assessed for hormonal, ovarian or other underlying reasons.

Frequently asked

Gynaecology: quick answers

How do I know if my periods are abnormal?

Periods that are very heavy, very painful, last longer than seven days, come less than 21 or more than 35 days apart, or stop without reason are worth checking. A short consultation can usually identify the cause.

Can PCOS be cured?

PCOS is managed rather than cured, and it can be managed very well. With the right mix of lifestyle changes and medical treatment, most women see their cycles, skin, weight and fertility improve significantly.

Do fibroids always need surgery?

No. Many fibroids need only monitoring. Treatment is considered when they cause heavy bleeding, pain, pressure symptoms or fertility problems, and even then there are uterus preserving options.
