Minimally Invasive & Advanced Procedures

When surgery is needed, smaller is almost always better. Keyhole techniques mean tiny incisions, less pain, a shorter hospital stay and a quicker return to normal life. Dr. Rekha uses these approaches wherever they are the safe and sensible choice.

Hysteroscopy

A thin telescope examines the inside of the uterus to find the cause of abnormal bleeding, infertility or recurrent loss, and to treat polyps, fibroids, adhesions or a uterine septum in the same sitting.

Keyhole surgery through small incisions for endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts and ectopic pregnancy, with faster recovery and minimal scarring.

Myomectomy

Removal of uterine fibroids while keeping the uterus intact, ideal when you want to preserve fertility but need relief from bleeding, pain or pressure.

Ovarian cystectomy

Removing ovarian cysts while protecting healthy ovarian tissue and hormonal balance.

Tubal evaluation (HSG / SSG)

Imaging that confirms whether the fallopian tubes are open, an important part of fertility assessment.

Mirena insertion

A hormonal IUD used for heavy bleeding, hormonal control, long term contraception and certain uterine conditions.

Frequently asked

Surgery: quick answers

How long is recovery after keyhole surgery?

Most women go home within a day or two and return to light daily activity within a week, far quicker than open surgery. Your exact recovery depends on the procedure.

Will I have large scars?

No. Keyhole surgery uses a few small incisions, usually under a centimetre, which heal into tiny, barely visible marks.

Can I keep my uterus if I have fibroids?

In most cases, yes. A myomectomy removes the fibroids while preserving the uterus, which matters if you may want to conceive in the future.
